ARCADE ONE track construction chronicle - Part 2

ARCADE ONE track construction chronicle - Part 2

THE ARCADE ONE TRACK BUILD IS GAINING MOMENTUM.

This is already the moment when the project ceases to be just a vision and begins to be a real space for driving, testing and first experiments. Each day brings new decisions, adjustments and observations that directly affect the final nature of the track.

1. ground preparation - first transports of sand

This is the moment when the project stops being just a vision and starts becoming a real space for driving, testing and first experiments. Each day brings new decisions, adjustments and observations that shape the final form of the track.

2. PRECISE SURFACE LEVELING

After the material was applied, it was time to carefully level the entire surface. This stage may look simple from the outside, but in practice it plays a crucial role in how the cars behave on the track. Every bump, slope, or overly soft section directly affects handling and overall driving feel.

3. FIRST FENCE AND TRACK LAYOUT

The next step was to define the track boundaries by installing a 60 cm high PVC fence. This allowed us to clearly see where the track ends and how its layout will look in real conditions. At the same time, we started initial tests with positioning the yellow pipe, which will eventually separate driving sections and give the track its distinctive look.

4. CAR BEHAVIOR TESTS – FIRST REAL INSIGHTS

At this stage, we began the first driving tests, observing how the car reacts to contact with the pipe and the fence. It quickly became clear that even small details, such as the angle of impact or the flexibility of the material, have a huge influence on driving dynamics. A short video from these tests shows the first real interactions between the car and the track elements.

This is just the beginning

Each of these stages brings us closer to creating something more than just a track — a true REAL-WORLD GAMING experience. There’s still a lot ahead of us: more work, more testing, and the first real steps toward bringing game mechanics into the physical world.

In the next part, we’ll show the next stages of construction and how the track is starting to develop its own character and identity.
